Impoverished and underserved communities are dealing with several roadblocks in understanding the Coronavirus & feel uneasy about vaccine efforts. Additionally, several communities feel under attack for their ethnicity. Lastly a general feeling of "COVID-19 fatigue" is being expressed across many communities.

Summed Up

NMHEC Goal: To reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Nevada’s most at-risk populations. Including African American/Black, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, LGBTQ+, and those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

We created content guided by a community-based participatory research approach conducted by NMHEC & it's partners. Our work aided the NMHEC campaign goal of creating behavior changes that slowed the spread of COVID-19 in some of the most at-risk populations in Nevada. With the onset of "COVID-19 fatigue", we believe this work played a part in keeping many communities "in the fight" against the pandemic.
